Claw Atlas
2023 ENnie Silver Award-Winner for Best Cartography!
Physical copies available at store.possibleworldsgames.com!
Note: This expansion requires the full Beak, Feather, & Bone rules to play.
Possible Worlds Game's Beak, Feather, & Bone is a collaborative worldbuilding tool and lightly competitive map-labeling RPG. Starting with an unlabeled city map, players are assigned community roles before taking turns claiming and describing locations. Players draw from a standard 52-card deck to determine a building's purpose and then describe its beak (reputation), feather (appearance), and bone (interior). As buildings are claimed, a narrative for the town and its inhabitants emerges, including major NPCs and shifting power-dynamics.
Claw Atlas is Beak, Feather, & Bone's first print expansion, available here at a discount in digital-only form. It includes:
- Ten unlabeled black & white city maps by cartographer Jonathan Yee optimized for use with the map-labeling game Beak, Feather, & Bone and other tabletop roleplaying games.
- Two new Beak, Feather, & Bone factions for players to choose from—The Hunters and The Mapmakers—illustrated by BFB's original artist, Austin Breed.
- Two new rules variants by designer Tyler Crumrine that add both monster creation and map creation to games of Beak, Feather, & Bone.
This purchase includes a PDF copy of the expansion optimized for both screen and home-printing. A ZIP folder of maximum resolution PNG map files is also provided for print and online use.
